I want to thank you for the very good information on my fuel injection.
It was exactly what you said it might be, all that green stuff on the
connectors. What a difference; it still runs rough tho when it's going
slow or idling but when it gets up to over 2500 it smothes out good. I
adjusted the plugs, and the idle screw so she is running about 800 in
neutral and 700 when it's in drive. That's what the original manual said
it should be running at. I also put my old air box meter in but it
didn't make alot of difference. You got any ideas why it's running so
rough? One of the plugs seems a little wet; maybe that one connection is
not clean enough. Again, thanks and thanks for the application for the
club. I'm looking forward to meeting some of your members. Do you know
who would install a 5 speed and a 3:90 rearend for me maybe later on
toward the end of the year? I would also like to have my engine rebuilt
and maybe add about 30 H.P. or so.
Joseph A Schrum On line with MY FUTURE
Joseph, Doc here,
It sounds like you are getting your Z together, and that
is great! I'd recommend that you go over the injector leads one more time
to see if you can clear up that running. We'll all get to see you soon
at
the Annual Club Picnic, or some up and coming Event!
If you are still having some problems with your Z my shop is located
in
Mariposa, outside of Yosemite. Call Doc's Auto Clinic for an appointment
209-742-6150 I can get you dialed in if you are still having problems.
One of our ZONC Club members Phil Prickett came up to take a drive and
put some miles on his New Turbo V-6 Motor this week! Sure is a nice drive
if
you are used to all of those straight roads! These are Made for the Z!
