Hello Bob,

Doc here, The 79ZX distributor has Nissan parts available for it
separately. The breaker plate and the vacuum advance I believe are dealer
parts, and the reluctor and pickup are available through after market
sources, like Standard Ignition, or Borg Warner. The guy at the Dealership
is probably interested in selling you a new complete distributor! I
believe that they are really pricey though. Check on the parts first, and if you
are having problems, or stories I can help you out...
