Hi Duane, Doc here, I'm glad to hear that you have your Real "Z" back!!
That is how it is supposed to Run! It's too bad that many have to live without ever experiencing what a 240Z is supposed to be like. Kind of puts the Enjoyment back in the Joy of Driving... Some time back Datsun had the slogan "We are Driven" and with that old sign on the shop wall it's good to hear that is where You Are!!
I'm not sure of the glitch in the choke thing, and it might need to have the nozzles replaced later to rectify the small hurdle.
You are so right that True Love Covers a multitude of Sins.
I would just chalk it up to more character to your "Z's" personality.
Love that is from God comes to manifest itself over the years, and stands
the test of time. Cars are to be appreciated but not worshipped. You can
still "Enjoy The Ride" that scratches
can't take away from in the bumps on the Road of Life!
Thanks again for the Cookies! God Bless You and Yours!

Doc,
I wanted to let you know that I cannot remember my Z ever running better
than it does now! Yes the choke stuck Saturday Morning when I started it
but instead of undoing all the adjustments that you performed on Friday,
I just eased it back and forth until it loosened up - it did not stick again.
The car runs without any flat spot or bogging effect from idle - whether
warm, cold, choke on or off, etc. - I had grown so used to it that it is
a distinct pleasure to miss it now! The combination of your adjustments
and the electronic ignition has given back to my car the drivability that
Z's should be known for. The twin SU's were obviously not the problem.
One sad note, on Sunday one of my daughters tipped over her bike which
resulted in a 4" scratch and minor dent - not good, but my daughters
worth more than any car!
Thank you again.
